Villa in Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal
This 3 bed attached villa is situated in a closed complex with security just backing onto the Old Golf Course in the prestigious Vilamoura resort. Spacious and furnished to a high standard throughout. The ground floor has an open style dining and living area, kitchen and bathroom.

A spiral staircase connects to an overhanging balcony which opens into each of the bedrooms and bathroom. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, AC, satellite TV (Sky etc.), front and back terraces, balcony off master bedroom, alarm system and a communal pool. All utensils, linens and towels are supplied, including a weekly cleaning service. There are lots of services close by including supermarkets, restaurants, beaches, golf courses and a golf academy.

A bus stop serves the area 200m from the villa and there is also the local Vilamoura train service (it runs on the road) that serves the beaches and marina. So you can survive without a car though it is useful if you wish to see more of the Algarve.

Changeover day
Saturday is changeover day, although, depending on bookings this can be changed. Contact the owner if in doubt.

Accommodation

Bedrooms: Master bedroom with double bed-en suite
Bedroom 2 with twin beds.
Bedroom 3 is open plan with bunk beds.
Bathrooms: En-suite to master bedroom with bath, shower, bidet and hairdryer.
Bathroom with shower, wc, bidet between bedroom 2 and 3.
Downstairs bathroom with shower and wc.
Kitchen: The window faces to the front of villa. Includes a small bar counter and stools, cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and all other utensils, delftware, glassware, cutlery, iron & Ironing board.
Utility Room: There is plenty of additional storage space throughout the villa and to the front and rear.
Living Rooms: The focal point of the villa is the open plan living/dining area. It contains large sofa and 2 armchairs, TV with UK satellite channels, a beautiful glass dining table that seats 8 people. The spiral staircase leads to overlooking balcony & bedrooms.
Other: Master bedroom is en suite with its own balcony overlooking the front of the villa and to the west for sunsets. The complex pool is 100m from the villa. The back of the villa faces south and gets lots of glorious sunshine!
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All linens and towels are supplied, including a weekly cleaning service. Price also includes gas & electricity prices, so there are no hidden costs. The maid service can be organised more frequently if needed, though costs for extra must be covered.

Accessibility
The spiral staircase must be borne in mind when considering suitability for small children and anyone with mobility problems.

Outside
The complex has its own security at the entrance and the gardens and shared pool are beautifully maintained all year round on a daily basis.

Coast/Beach
Vilamoura has wonderful clean beaches and the largest marina on the Algarve or in Portugal. All the beaches are within 5 mins drive. To the west, you can walk the Falesia beach for over 6km uninterrupted towards Albufeira into the sunset. To the east you can walk to neighbouring Quarteira and along its magnificent promenade and further along the beach to Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago.

Golf
Vilamoura is a world famous golf resort with five Oceanico Championship courses and many more on its doorstep. The Ocenaico courses include the Victoria Course (hosted World Cup and Portuguese Open), the Old Course (the back garden of the complex overlooks the 6th hole), the Pinhal, the Laguna and the Millennium. The first two are real championship courses while the latter are aimed more at the handicap golfer, so there is a perfect mix. All five Oceanico courses are within 5 mins drive, the Vila Sol course is 10 mins drive and all the Quinta do Lago courses are only 30mins away.

Vilamoura also has a world class golf academy that includes short game practice facilities, driving range, par 3 course, golf shop and restaurant and full time pros on hand to improve your game. The academy is less than 5 mins from the villa.

Travel
Faro airport is only 25 mins drive. A taxi costs 25 euros. Vilamoura is served by local and national bus services across the Algarve and into Spain and also to Lisbon. There is a bus stop for local bus services within 200m of the complex and the on road train service around Vilamoura passes regularly each day. So you can survive without a car though it is useful if you wish to see more of the Algarve.

Distances
Vilamoura Marina 3km, then going east... Quarteira 5km (fish, farmer and flea markets), Quinta Do Lago 20km, Faro 40km, Spanish border 100km... going west, Albufeira 15km, Portimao 60km and Cape St. Vicent 100Km. Up the hills there is the market town of Loule 20km. Lisbon is 240km.

Further details
There are a number of excellent water parks nearby. Very good supermarkets, and an excellent supermarket in Albufeira which has everything you could possibly need. Shops will take Visa and Laser, and there are ATM machines at marina. Great shops around the Marina, and also the Forum (indoor and outdoor) shopping centre and cinema at Faro, and Guia Shopping centre in Albufeira is excellent.

Booking notes
After initial (non refundable) deposit of 20% is paid, balance must be paid at least 6 weeks prior to arrival. Please contact owner for any special offers. Feel free to contact the owner to discuss any last minute prices, or reductions. Long term lease also considered. Also extra day will be considered to facilitate airline bookings.
